”Appia giOCA” was born from the desire to combine fun and knowledge, transforming the discovery of the region into an engaging experience accessible to all. The project takes shape from a survey of the tangible and intangible assets of the Sannio region and, more generally, the historical and cultural heritage linked to the Appian Way.
The past thus comes to life through interactive and playful tools, capable of engaging both adults and children in a dynamic and participatory way.
The game is a cultural reinterpretation of the classic Game of the Goose: the board follows the route of the Appian Way, passing monuments, natural landscapes, aqueducts, hills, and port cities such as Brindisi, Taranto, and Bari.
Starting from Benevento, players move along intertwining and branching paths, facing unexpected events and challenges inspired by the history and geography of the area. Each stop becomes an opportunity to learn, explore, and rediscover a unique heritage.
